Kim Kardashian’s Addiction to Selfies
Wait a minute, you mean to tell me the Amazing Madam “K” is addicted to taking selfies? Now how do you think this intervention would go?
However, it seems to be true. Followers of Kim Kardashian’s Instagram feed will happily tell you just how fond the starlet is about posting a few (hundred) selfies a day.
Now don’t get me wrong, even though I’m still a little unsure what it is Kim is really famous for, there is no doubt she is an attractive woman, but come on.
Recently, the 33-year-old reality star took so many selfies on a family trip to Thailand that the rest of the family began to call Kim “obsessed”. Although I have no clue why it took them this long to notice the addiction. However, sister Khloe Kardashian had some choice words about the situation:
“We’re watching like fire-eating people, it’s like a cool once-in-a-lifetime thing to witness, and instead of being in the moment Kim is taking selfies. I don’t even know – I’m so over the f***ing selfies.”
Now this must be becoming an issue for Khloe, a person of few words, to come right out and say it.
However, there is a great upside to Kim’s love of herself, we are able to share in all the wonderful and important things that come up in her life.
For example, who doesn’t want to keep track of Kim Kardashian’s hair color, her fitness regime, her travels and even her butt (is it real).
Well the Kardashian Clan aren’t the only ones to notice Kim’s obsession with all things Kim. T-Mobile has enlisted Kim Kardashian for its Super Bowl XLIX ad, which will be a satire that takes a poke at other mobile carriers which take back unused mobile data at the end of each month.
The ad, which correctly describes Kim Kardashian’s occupation as “famous person”, boasts of how T-Mobile’s recently announced ‘Data Stash’ plan for users to save up their unused mobile data for later use.
In the 30-second slot, which has been released online ahead of the Super Bowl on February 2, Kardashian gives a heartfelt statement that millions of gigabytes of unused mobile data are “tragically” seized at the end of each month by carriers.
The “famous person” then makes a plea for everyone to “help save the data” so that her fans won’t be denied their desire to access Kardashian’s selfies when they don’t have enough data left over.
A T-Mobile statement reads: “Kim Kardashian West has an important message for everyone about unused data. Stop letting your carrier take back those unused megs & gigs at the end of each month. You’re missing out on so many amazing things. Like photos of Kim’s outfits. Or Kim’s vacation videos. Or even more of Kim’s outfit photos.”
I know it isn’t right, and I feel dirty about it, but I personally hope (as I’m sure many others do) that Kim Kardashian doesn’t get the help she needs with this addiction.
“Keep posting those pics Kim, our day would be meaningless without them.”
